Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse

Elite Medical Staffing is hiring Wound Care Nurse (will train) are the heart and soul behind what we do. Utilizing the Nursing Process, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plans, implements, directs and evaluates patient care to achieve optimal outcomes. The Wound Care Nurse works collaboratively with all other disciplines on the assigned unit. Our LPN jobs provide routine care for the sick or injured while working in conjunction with Registered Nurses. Ongoing training will provide you with the tools to be successful in your role.

Overall Expectations:

• Ensure staff demonstrates competency in core and center-specific clinical skills, and that continuing education and certificates are maintained and up to date
• Develops patient specific wound care plan and regularly reviews wound progress. Follows up with lab and diagnostic results, communicates to provider and patient, and documents accurately
• Ensures accuracy, legibility, and completion of all staff documentation and adheres to daily chart check and correction policy

What You’ll Do:

• Provide patient care based on scientific principles/nursing theory and evidence based practice
• Implement physician orders accurately within appropriate time frames
• Recognize change in the patient’s condition and intervene appropriately
• Prioritize nursing actions including reflecting patient needs, acuity, and desired outcome
• Monday - Friday schedule, no weekends

Qualifications:

• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination by date of hire is required.
• Valid LPN nursing license required
• Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association required
• Prior experience working with wound care patients preferred (Will train)
• Experience with billing and coding preferred

• Willing to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
• Willing to take a drug test in accordance with local law/regulations and federal guidelines
• Maintain consistent attendance; punctual for scheduled shifts
