Our client is in need of a Network Manager to join their team to manages and coordinate all Network infrastructure operations and projects to meet client needs. Ensures that the standards and procedures are followed during design and implementation of network related activities, and have a strong background, managing successful teams, and hands on- supporting the environment as needed.
Location: On site/some remote in Dover, DE
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and manage all networking devices and connections to ensure the highest level of infrastructure performance
- Provide stable and sufficient connectivity to allow the business to conduct reliable and secure operations
- Manage the acquisition, installation, maintenance, performance, monitoring, security and access policies of all routers, switches, firewalls, software and other network components as required
- Administer and secure all internal and external network access
- Analyze products and recommend use of new products to direct management
- Produce routine network monitor reports for direct management
- Monitors, evaluates and corrects outages to the LAN/WAN, firewall, and remote access services
- Develop information system strategies by determining accountabilities; policies, procedures and controls
- Develop strategy for network infrastructure
- Provided management oversight for the networking group
- Provide assistance to other employees by liaising with them through healthy and positive interactions
- All other tasks, responsibilities or duties, as directed by management
- Monitor and Manage the company internal telephone system(s) and their connections
- Provide leadership and guidance in the day to day activities for direct reports
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain networking equipment areas and closets and ensures they are in order and supporting devices are maintained.
- Maintaining budget for corporate networking operations
- Other items as assigned by management
- Provide escalation support to direct reports
- Provide escalation support to service desk with regards to trouble tickets
- Interface with vendors and carriers to provide services and solutions
- Interface with company leadership
- Provide service as subject matter expert for various networking technologies
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in IT, Cyber Security or Business
- 3-5 Years of IT Leadership Experience, managing a team
- 5-7 Years Network Administration Experience
- Operational knowledge of the configuration of advanced networking hardware including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, fiber connections, WAN, LAN, and VPNs
- Knowledge of modern routing protocols and networking topology
- Cisco Certification
- Palo Alto Certification
