POSITION: Accounts Payable Clerk 


SUMMARY:

*This is a remote/work from home, position but requires pick up of mail from a Wimberley P.O. Box.

We are searching for a skilled financial specialist, preferably in WIMBERLEY, TX. to join our AP team to help process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The AP Clerk will preside over the general AP accounting area of the company and its affiliates. The success of the Accounts Payable Clerk will heavily depend on sound financial keeping, along with excellent organizational and time management skills.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
  • Completes AP, monthly financial close process.
  • Invoice review for documentation prior to payment.
  • Collect and verify employee expenses.
  • Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry.
  • Execute credit card and bank account reconciliation.
  • Collection and sorting of daily mail
  • Participates in regularly scheduled meetings.
  • Takes a hands-on approach to any necessary duties to ensure timelines are met.
  • Sets and upholds high standards of business practices.
  • Conduct themselves in a business-like manner while maintaining professional  relationships with associates.     
  • Assist lead accountant as needed.

 

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Understanding of basic principles of finance, and bookkeeping
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred but not required
  • One year or more of related experience preferred.
