Job Description
BASIC PURPOSE:
Performs general repair and maintenance for bank facilities.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITES:
Performs minor and/or general repairs (some indoors and some outdoors).
Does general yard work, if necessary.
Assists in Courier duties such as but not limited to, transfer and sort various materials and/or documents
from one location to another (e.g. inter-office, proof work, supplies, coins and equipment) May be asked to
retrieve or deliver post office mail. Ensure company vehicle is properly maintained.
Paints as needed
Moves materials, equipment and some furniture as necessary; may move items to and from bank storage
areas.
Applying preventative measurers to the buildings to reduce the risk of future problems.
Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or vendors in a professional and pleasant manner.
Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment.
Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
Handles other maintenance tasks requested by Management.
Follows local and state building codes
Complies with security policies and procedures and internal controls.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
Requires a high school diploma, or its equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
Must have the ability to do general repairs and maintenance work. Ability to use common tools such as
hammers, hoists, saws, drills and wrenches. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive to and
from bank branches and storage areas.
EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:
Must be able to use the appropriate tools and/or equipment to do general repairs and maintenance work.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Prolonged periods standing and walking. Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend or crawl into
awkward spaces. Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching. Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds.
Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard tools and equipment used for general repairs and
maintenance. Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS:
Must be an organized person who can prioritize duties between bank branches. Ability to read technical manuals and drawings. Must be self-disciplined to work with minimal supervision.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Does maintenance and repairs in a typical bank setting. Services all bank branches and must be able to drive
to and from same.
