Position Summary:

The Quality and Safety Analyst will play a key role in supporting supplier quality improvement, auditing internal procedures, ensuring safety compliance, and facilitating continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complete all assigned tasks within the Quality department.
  • ISO Audit Support: Assist in driving action items to completion across all departments to ensure compliance with the ISO 9001 & 14001 standard. This will include internal audits of all departments.
  • Support for Supplier Quality Improvement: Assist in the management and improvement of supplier quality standards. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality requirements are understood and met and follow up with documented corrective actions when these requirements are not met.
  • Auditing Internal Procedures: Conduct regular audits of quality management system processes to ensure compliance with established quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Auditing Safety Compliance: Ensure that all safety regulations and company policies are being followed within the production facility. Conduct safety audits and participate in safety training and initiatives.
  • Supporting Internal Quality Improvement Projects: Work closely with the quality manager to support projects aimed at improving product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Documenting Corrective Actions: In response to customer feedback and internal failures, document corrective actions taken to resolve product issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Document Engineering Change Requests: Submit engineering change request as necessary to provide a closed loop of product compliance or improvement.
  • Successfully complete all required training as assigned.
  • Actively seek out continuous improvement opportunities for production and safety
  • Safely operate necessary equipment to carry out assigned tasks.
  • Take ownership of personal development.
  • Support other departments as needed.

Position Requirements (knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform satisfactorily in the position):

  • High School Diploma or GED required, prefer 2-year technical degree, other combinations may be considered.
  • 2 or more years of experience with demonstrated proficiency in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality management system tools in accordance with ISO 9001 (& Preferred ISO 14001 knowledge / exposure as well).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of product use, purpose, and function.
  • Ability to function in a team environment.
  • Intermediate computer skills, SAP and Microsoft office product experience preferred.
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings related to manufacturing requirements.
  • Basic math skills required; application of statistical control methods preferred.
  • Understanding of and demonstrated use of LEAN concepts.
  • Effectively communicate problems and work with support groups to resolve.
