Dishwasher - Maria's New Mexican Kitchen

Position Summary: The Dishwasher assists in creating a memorable dining experience for our guests. The Dishwasher is responsible for removing dirty plates, glasses and flatware from the tables, washing then thoroughly and restocking so the clean dishes are available as needed. They may also restock items, unload delivery trucks, help prepare cook stations, clean appliances and machines, and empty and clean trash receptacles. Additionally, the Dishwasher assists other kitchen staff, as needed, to provide excellent service for our guests.

MUST have valid/active Food Handler Certification

MUST have valid unexpired Identification to work in the United States

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

• Ensure the availability of clean dishes by thoroughly washing dishes, glassware, pots, pans and flatware.
• Clean machines and appliances used in the kitchen area
• Unload and store deliveries
• Sweep and mop floors in the kitchen area
• Take out the trash and rinse garbage cans
• Maintain professional restaurant image, including superior sanitation and cleanliness controls
• Assist kitchen staff with various tasks
• Maintain a clean and sanitary dishwashing area
• Work with a diverse set of co-workers as a cohesive team
• Attend all mandatory in-house trainings

• Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use POS systems
• Must have, and maintain, the appropriate NM Food Handler permit
• Ability to arrive on-time and work shifts as scheduled
• Hours may vary and you must have flexible availability to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Previous experience a plus
