Seeking a Compensation Specialist

Location: Juneau, AK

Salary Range: $87,000 - $111,000 per year (based on experience and qualifications).

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and document compensation policies and guidelines in collaboration with HR leadership.

• Provide guidance on compensation policies, evaluating changes and updates.

• Review job levels, assess new job titles, and update job descriptions.

• Prepare and respond to annual salary surveys for accurate benchmarking.

• Conduct benchmarking reviews and analyze data to recommend competitive compensation and benefit programs.

• Research and recommend variable pay practices specific to healthcare settings.

• Ensure compliance and accuracy with FLSA requirements in position classifications.

• Maintain data integrity within HR/PR systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years of healthcare compensation-related experience.

• Preferred certifications: CCP, PHR, SPHR, GPHR, or equivalent.

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of healthcare compensation practices and geographic differentials.

• Familiarity with Alaska-based healthcare compensation strategies (preferred).

• Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, and advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).

• Excellent communication and analytical skills with extreme attention to detail.

• Experience with Lawson ERP system (a plus).
