Essential Functions & Performance Criteria:

4. Images patients according to established policies and procedures in a timely manner, as ordered by the referring physician
5. Displays ability to appropriately meet age specific needs for age groups neonate through geriatric in order to demonstrate requested anatomy
6. Abides by all state and federal regulations regarding radiation safety
7. Demonstrates ability to respond professionally to crisis situations and stay calm
8. Performs clerical duties necessary to maintain accurate and complete patient records
9. Completes exam related documentation in a timely and accurate manner
10. Maintains patient records in all EMR systems and relays errors or QA issues to a qualified technologist as soon as possible
11. Reviews orders prior to every exam to ensure appropriate order protocol based on patient age, condition and prior imaging history
12. Maintains competency and routinely performs exams in all licensed modalities (xray, fluoro, ct, ortho and surgery)
13. Completes order review and reminder calls daily
14. Manages assigned areas of the Quality Control Program
15. Cleans and maintains equipment and exam rooms
16. Reports equipment malfunctions
17. Takes appropriate measures to ensure patient and staff safety at all times
18. Immediately informs director of critical issues
19. Pleasantly greets patients and introduces themselves
20. Educates patient and answers any questions
21. Screens for pregnancy before all exams and provides appropriate radiation protection as needed
22. Volunteers to cover open night/weekend shifts and backup call
23. Performs other duties as assigned

Employment Requirements:

Education: Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology program in an approved facility

• Computed Tomography: ARRT (CT), or six (6) months of CT experience, or completion of BCH CT competencies
• Radiography: ARRT (R)
