Job DescriptionCompany Description
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include repairing and cleaning stainless steel pipe that is damaged during transit, found in the yard, and returned from customers using a hydraulic device to remove and dents throughout the pipe. Once material is repaired and cleaned, it is to be moved via forklift to a designated area, where it will be inspected, and returned to stock.
Requirements:
- Able to work outside, “Day to day Elements” (Rain, heat, cold etc.)
- Able to stand for the entire shift (8 hours plus)
- Ability to operate a forklift and move pipe material throughout the pipe yard
- Must be able to lift up to minimum of 50 pounds
- Knowledge how to read pipe stamping/stenciling
- Able to differentiate between different types of pipe material
- Basic knowledge of using a tape measure
- Able to work at a face pace to meet weekly targeted goals
Qualifications:
- Speak and read English. Bilingual Spanish preferred
- 1+ years of experience.
- Ability to read and understand industry specifications, charts, and tables.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to drive forklift and secure certification.
- Must have average reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
- Able to stand and operate a variety of equipment as assigned.
- Takes initiative and can work independently.
- Requires a high level of attention to detail.
- Able to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
