We are seeking a part-time Insurance Inspector covering both Wayne County to become a part of our organization! You will perform underwriting surveys on residential, commercial and agricultural properties. There is an opportunity for extra work in Pike County.
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling & routing inspections
- Take accurate and detailed notes on conditions of the properties
- Photograph buildings and any hazards & conditions found on the property
- Completing company forms
- Measuring and diagraming properties
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in completing underwriting surveys
- Experience in construction
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Reliable transportation
This is a part-time position.
Mutual Inspection Bureau, Inc. (MIB) has been providing inspection services to the insurance industry for over 80 years. MIB offers quality, time sensitive information to insurance companies. This information is developed through independent contractors performing on-site inspections and underwriting surveys for residential properties, commercial properties/operations and agricultural properties. We assess conditions found as well as identify hazards that may lead to claims activity, injury or loss of life. We also gather data to assist the insurance companies in establishing replacement cost values for buildings and dwellings.
