Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Phlebotomist. Position Type: Full Time, Contract to possible hire. Duration: 3 months Location: Napa, CA 94558 Training: 1 to 2 weeks of training, worker will have to go to Santa Rosa location where they will do a week of training, and HM will observe sticks. Shift/Schedule: Must be available M-F Shifts starting as early as 6:30 am or as late as ending at 6:30/7pm. The hours of this location are 6:30-5pm the closer hours are 9am-6pm with mandatory OT. This position will require a rotating Saturday shift that could be scheduled in Petaluma or Santa Rosa hours 7:30-2:30pm As a Phlebotomist, your responsibilities: Experience doing blood draws, labelling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc. Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures. Properly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required. Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED Phlebotomy Certification 2+-year experience doing blood draws of all age groups. Processing Specimens. Labelling specimens Centrifuging specimens Recording maintenance data and decontamination Stores specimen sample according to required temperature, places samples in appropriate collection container/ tube, accurately labels.
