We currently have an opportunity for a Pump Team Operator at our Memphis, TN facility. Responsibilities:Understand and comply with all workplace health and safety requirements, company policies and procedures and general workplace rulesParticipate in the day to day health and safety program by working in a safe manner at all times:Always using the required personal protective equipmentEnsuring that authorized work is completed safelyUtilizing required controls to prevent risk of exposure to hazardsParticipating actively in incident investigations, training, and other health and safety initiatives.Reporting all unsafe acts and conditions and all incidents, near misses and workplace injuries/illnesses as per company procedureReview the production schedule, check equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled and prepare for operationsPerform pre-start check of log book, verify production log requirements and all pre-operational processes such as valve checks for tanks and fillers and releasing nitrogen to warehousesSet-up production lines, start pumps, and bleed out air from filters, take oil inventoryOperate oil valves to headers and drain and flush valves for change-overs and mix productsObserve the start-up of production lines, check oil temperatures and monitor the pressure.Obtain start-up samples from all lines and deliver to Quality Control as requiredCommunicate with Team Leads in Packaging and the Refinery, Team Operation Coordinators, Troubleshooter, Laboratory and QC personnel as neededPump oil from tank to tank as required, measure and calculate pounds of oil in tanks and line usage, grease and tighten valves, fix leaks, change filters and clean-up spills as neededUnload oil trucks and transport supplies to the High Speed lines as neededAt end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties and complete all required paperworkAssist in basic preventative maintenance procedures of equipment and basic general housekeeping standardsRegular preventative maintenance as assignedOther duties as assigned Qualifications:Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and overtime when neededAble to read, write, and communicate effectivelyUnderstand instruction and follow directionWork primarily in a warm to hot environmentGood to advanced computer and systems skillsForklift skills preferred, but not requiredMust be capable of lifting and stacking 50 lbsHigh School diploma or GED required Richardson is recognized as a global leader in agriculture and food processing and has over 3,000 employees across the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Europe.
