Job Description Pay Range: $125,000/year - $155,000/year Position: IT Director Status: Salary Full Time Exempt Reporting Supervisor: Chief Information Officer (CIO) Job Duties include but are not limited to the following: Establish, plan, and administer the overall policies and goals for the Information Technology department. Oversee all aspects of the Information Technology ranging from: Hardware, Software and licensing, Network Security, Implementations and Upgrades, Maintenance, Archive, etc. Lead and coordinate selection of new technology solutions, installation, operation, support, budget and maintenance of our information technology infrastructure (i.e. operating systems, networks, telecommunications, hardware, and peripherals) in order to accommodate growth and flexibility. Analyze the needs of the organization and determine ways to meet organizational objectives within budget and ROI by modifying existing or developing new information processing systems to include process automations, standards and policies. Translate the company vision into IT systems and procedures, articulating this critical link to the Executive Team, IT staff and employees. Participate actively with the Operating Team and various Corporate Departments to prioritize and project manage concurrent needs to ensure our systems environment services the needs of the business. Manage an interactive Help Desk to inform and update both the IT Team and the Customers (Store and Corporate staff) regarding the status of open issues. Communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of employees both in verbal and written format. Present current status, results and future goals of projects to Senior Management in order to reach the organizational objectives. Identify IT department internal staffing, budget, infrastructure and Third Party Vendor support needs. Manage, motivate, and develop all staff within the IT group. Ensure the organizational structure is appropriate for supporting Vallarta’s current and future business needs. Recruit appropriate talent. Design and implement a Disaster Recovery System to allow continual support of store functions in case of a disabled Corporate Office situation. System must include POS connectivity, Store Sales, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Finance, Orders and Delivery. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree with 15 years related experience or Masters of Science degree with 10 years related experience. 10+ years of industry-related experience specifically Retail and POS systems 10+ years of Program/Project management experience Demonstrated ability to independently prioritize, plan, and execute work tasks in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality results. Good interpersonal and leadership skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong willingness to learn. Must be able to present IT department projects to Senior Management and adjust accordingly to business needs and budgetary constraints. Typing and data input proficiency. Ability to write Procedures and Policies. Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual English/Spanish helpful Computer Programming knowledge.
