JOB DESCRIPTION
BHE GT&S has an exciting career opportunity for a Gas & By-Products Tester at our Hastings Extraction Plant in Pine Grove, WV.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in performing analyses for the hydrocarbon composition on samples of gaseous and volatile liquid mixtures, using a chromatograph which is especially designed for precise determination of all components.
- Assist in performing various laboratory and field tests on different products to determine chemical and physical properties of the products.
- Make various tests such as those for viscosity, specific gravity, flash and fire points, sediment, distillation, corrosion, and carbon residue.
- Prepare records and reports as required, using PC/terminal with NGL/MIS or other software.
- May run other tests and perform other assignments as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
You must demonstrate via resume or cover letter that you have met the following required basic qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year work experience in performing and analyzing laboratory and field tests;
- Basic personal computer skills;
- Ability to lift 50 pounds;
- Must be able to climb a ladder and work from elevated areas, such as platforms and structure roofs.
Additional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of natural gas liquid operations and experience in laboratory testing, gas chromatography, and analysis in the natural gas industry preferred.
- Ability to work from elevated surfaces such as platforms, catwalks and ladders.
- Ability to analyze problems, collect accurate data and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to work independently or as a team member.
- Demonstrated ability to follow safety, regulatory and company rules.
- Ability to work safely and encourage others to work safely.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
