Must-haves:

  • 3rd Degree Engineer License. (Boilers)
  • Hands on experience within HVAC, plumbing, electrical (HVAC/Plumbing Preferred)
  • Previous experience working with pumps, compressors, boilers, tube system, building climate, air handlers, and/or plumbing systems.
  • Experience working with building management systems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with vendors and contractors.
  • Experience documenting work orders and documenting service requests.
  • Ability to work night shift (2nd or 3rd shifts available)

 

Plusses:

  • Preferably Hospital experience
  • HVAC license or refrigeration license (EPA License)

 

Job Summary:

Insight Global is seeking a Stationary Engineer for a large hospital in the Omaha area. This person will be responsible for the maintenance, calibrations, and inspections of building equipment, services, and systems. They will need to have a valid or be eligible for 3rd Grade Engineering License or Boiler Operator License in order to operate the service and building requests. This person will come from an HVAC or Plumbing background with experience working with pumps, chillers, controls, compressors, boilers, and building management systems. This individual will need to have strong communication skills and a high attention to detail, while also having the opportunity based on performance to grow within leadership. Additional duties required below:

  • Maintains all building equipment, services and systems including but not limited to boilers, generators, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, environmental, security systems. These systems support the operation of Children’s Hospital, parking facilities and related locations. Completes building related equipment repairs and preventative maintenance in accordance as assigned.
  • Coordinate work to be done by outside companies/vendors.
  • Recommends equipment repairs/replacement as necessary.
  • Documents repair and maintenance service activities including but not limited to detailed equipment repairs by equipment identification.
  • Assists with maintenance of parts inventory and materials usage. Maintain working stock on hand and reorders parts as required.
  • Holds reserve authority to initiate actions as required restoring to normal or providing for emergency services from within/outside the hospital in the absence of higher authority.
