Position Title: Fork Lift Operator

Location: Plymouth, IN  46563

Expected Duration: 12+ months.

Estimated Start Date: 5/20/2024.

Pay Rate: $ 19/hr.

 

Work schedule is subject to change based on the season and business need.

Willingness to be flexible with scheduling will be crucial as it is subject to change.

Weekly Schedule (how many hours/days): 40 hours + possible OT - 6 days

Shift: Should be flexible for all shifts during training, then will be assigned a specific shift.

Currently working 1 shift: 7:00a - 3:30p

1st shift 7:00-3:30p

2nd shift 3:00p-11:30p

We also have associates periodically work a split shift working 10a-6:30p.

Any specific skills, requirements or experience you want in a candidate:

Preferred 1 year experience - sit down for lift

Any additional Medical Surveillance testing required? No

Can not be only Spanish speaking

Safety toe work shoe/boot that meets ASTM F2412-05, F2413-05 or equivalent. Long Pants. Shirt that covers the shoulders.

 

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Professional, accident-free operation of the forklift, and the precise keeping of the forklift inspections.
  • Systematic maintenance and cleaning of the forklift
  • Continuous tracking of the location of goods during material handling using WMS. Use the WMSystem accordingly and ensure accurate data entry.
  • Perform any other manual job at the direction of the warehouse supervisor or team lead (e.g. sampling, inventory, cleaning)
  • Keep the warehouse clean and tidy
  • During the seed delivery and return season: ensure proper (loading and unloading) of transport vehicles with quality packages to meet customer expectations
  • Maintain safety standards - initiate & follow emergency procedures when necessary

 

Preffered Experience

  • 1 year of forklift experience
  • 1 year of warehouse experience
  • Prior forklift certification is preferred

 

Skills

  • Ability to count accurately when moving inventory.
  • Ability to read scales.
  • Ability to multi-task and detailed oriented
  • Being alert and aware when driving the forklift in a safe manner
  • Ability to communicate and work by yourself or with a team.
  • Ability to work in tighter, confined spaces with a forklift.

 

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements

  • Pass a background check and other pre-employment screenings.
  • Have reliable transportation to the site and be able to arrive at the work site as instructed.

Maintain enthusiasm, good attitude, honesty and a willingness to treat all with respect.
