Job Description
We are looking for a self-motivated sales professional willing to work independently and support company-wide sales initiatives. This dynamic self-starter will report to the VP of Sales & Marketing. As an integral part of the sales team, this role will be involved with all aspects of the company’s sales procedures, become proficient in the company’s ERP system, and assist with project management on all in-house sales orders.
Additionally, this role will provide prospecting support, data mining, setting of sales appointments, and conducting sales calls in the Midwest region.
Responsibilities
- Analyze data sources in Excel to generate and prioritize leads.
- Assist in lead follow-up by identifying key decision makers and securing appointments with prospects.
- Maintain CRM system by entering all prospect information and assure tracking of all correspondence between sales team and prospect, adding relevant notes pertaining to a successful conversion from prospect to customer
- Manage the assignment of leads in company’s CRM and distribute those leads to appropriate independent sales rep firms and work closely with Sales Manager to assure proper follow-up
- Professionally present company products over-the-phone, via email, and in-person or video meeting
- Support Sales Manager and VP of Sales with weekly quoting and sales reports, and monthly preparation for board meetings
- Support company’s trade show schedule by securing hotel accommodations, booth coordination, staffing the booth, and post-show lead follow-up
- Develop in-depth knowledge and use of Company’s ERP system
- Strong ability to analyze sales data in Excel, conduct market research, and make recommendations based on findings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer-facing and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Experience working within an ERP system preferred
- Experience with building products preferred
- Working knowledge of CRM software, databases, and tools preferred
