Contract to Hire Career Opportunity
A global insurance technology company is currently searching for an Underwriting Analyst to join the team. The Underwriting Analyst will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing loss and exposure data for homeowner policy submissions from insurance agents.
As an Analyst you will be:
•Processing high volumes of daily transactions
•Reviewing submission data thoroughly and extracting relevant information
•Comparing aggregate data across coverages
•Identifying high risk concerns and escalating to the client company
•Candidates will be reviewing insurance (mostly property, some personal) policies to determine what the risk is in the insurance company agreeing to provide coverage
•They will look at documents to identify potential issues – i.e. a pool or an old roof or a trampoline would be considered ‘dangerous” and a potential red flag on a property – the cumulative list of “red flags” is analyzed to determine if it makes financial sense to insure this customer
•Candidates don’t need to have experience in insurance
•Entry level candidates out of retail, hospitality, banking, etc have worked
•They need to have strong communication skills and basic smarts to interpret information

•Insurance Industry acumen
•Previous experience working in a fast paced environment
•H.S Diploma or GED
Preferred candidate will have
•Insurance based certification
