Prolink is seeking Heavy Equipment Operators for one of our clients in Vine Grove, KY.

Job Description

Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for safely performing skilled type of work focused on the operation of heavy equipment utilized in the construction of site preparation and heavy highway/civil works projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction equipment which includes wheeled and tracked loaders, excavators, dozers, scrapers, articulated trucks, rollers, and other pieces of equipment assigned. Both GPS and manual grading equipped.
• Perform daily inspection of your assigned equipment and assist in servicing and maintenance of equipment if required.
• Projects include but are not limited to mass excavation, fine grading, underground utilities, and clearing.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff members when necessary.
• Perform duties responsibly and proficiently, following all company safety guidelines.

Education and Experience

• 4+ years of experience operating a wheel loader, excavator, backhoe, dozer, or similar equipment required.

Skills and Specifications

• Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
• Knowledge of basic maintenance of operating equipment.
• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
• Ability to safely enter and exit equipment, follow safety protocols, occasionally lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under field conditions occasionally when assisting in repairs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience working effectively in a team environment. Will take instruction from supervisors.
• Blueprint reading skills desired.
• Knowledge of basic math needed for grading.
• Have a current driver license and the ability to get to the jobsite.
