Job Summary

At OPTO, marketing is about understanding the retail industry and building awareness about how our products/services can satisfy the retailer’s needs. Our ideal candidate will help unify and grow our digital marketing efforts by combining creative communication skills and technical ability to evaluate, implement, and optimize OPTO's online presence. He/she will be comfortable with day-to-day marketing activities, as well as recommending long and short-term strategy, thriving with tight deadlines and changing needs. He/she will help craft promotional messaging/campaigns and will work to publish or distribute them to the retail industry via web, digital media, advertising platforms, and social media. Working in the OPTO marketing department also requires strong organization and communication skills to be able to execute OPTO’s marketing strategy.


The position is responsible for having a clear understanding of digital advertising platforms and strategies, adhering to budget constraints, ROAS, sales targets and contribution to the actions required to meet those goals. He/she will meet regularly with respective marketing team members to discuss departmental goals, timelines and strategies to build a stronger marketing presence in the industry. He/she will collaborate with the Design Team in support of sales initiatives with new and existing clients to help drive revenue and increase awareness in the marketplace. Occasional travel and weekend work or extended hours may be needed to execute and attend company sponsored tradeshows and conferences.




Key Responsibilities


As our Digital Marketing Specialist, you'll play a vital role in enhancing OPTO's online presence and marketing strategy. From crafting promotional campaigns to managing digital advertising and website optimization, your responsibilities will be diverse and impactful. Collaboration with our design team and staying abreast of industry trends will be key.


Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Digital Advertising: Research, analyze and optimize PPC advertising, ensuring budget adherence and continuous improvement.

  • Website Management: Oversee CMS, collaborate on design enhancements, and optimize for SEO.

  • Email / Marketing Automation: Execute high-quality email campaigns, utilize CRM for metrics, and optimize marketing automation.

  • Data Mining/Management/Reporting: Acquire and analyze customer data, create reports, and suggest performance improvements.

  • General: Assist with various marketing activities, adjust ad creative, ensure brand consistency, and stay updated on industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing or related field

  • 5-7 years of digital marketing experience, including websites and email campaigns

  • Proficiency in PPC tools (Google Ads, LinkedIn, Facebook), SEO/SEM, and website analytics

  • Experience with marketing data management, CRM (Salesforce a plus), and marketing automation (Pardot, Marketo, etc.)

  • Strong technical skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and copywriting experience

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and communicate effectively



Compensation details: 70000-75000 Yearly Salary
