Accounting Clerk

If you desire to start a career as an Accounting Clerk, Robert Half is currently trying to fill the position for a prominent company. In this position, you will be responsible for playing an essential role in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), general data entry, and according invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers. This fast-paced environment offers you a great work space/office.. located in the Reading, Pennsylvania area.

How you will make an impact

- Support Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance

- Assist Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing

- Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

- Patch up discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

- Report financial facts to journals and ledgerst

- Code documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes

- General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

- Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical

- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

- Excel Formulas experience preferred

- Accounts Receivable (AR) experience desired

- Experience with high volume data entry

- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is a plus
