Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced School Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time contract position in Clute, TX. We are actively interviewing candidates who meet all requirements set by local and state regulations. Ideal candidates will possess a passion for working with special education students and their families.

Requirements:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Texas.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Experience working with special education students and families highly preferred.
  • Ability to comply with all local and state regulations governing occupational therapy practice in schools.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of students fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students unique needs and support their participation in school activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to promote students success in the school environment.
  • Provide direct therapy services, including therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment recommendations, and environmental modifications.
  • Monitor students progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve therapeutic goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessment results, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with school and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings to contribute to the development of goals and objectives for students receiving occupational therapy services.
  • Provide education and training to school staff and parents on strategies for supporting students functional abilities and promoting independence.
