School Psychologist
Location: Homedale, ID
Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate School Psychologist to join our team in Homedale, ID. The School Psychologist will play a vital role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students by providing prehensive psychological services within the school setting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with students, families, and school staff to promote positive learning environments and enhance student success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct prehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop individualized intervention plans and support strategies for students with diverse needs
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral difficulties
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings to address students' educational and behavioral needs
- Monitor student progress, collect and analyze data, and make data-driven decisions to guide intervention planning and program development
- Consult with teachers and staff on behavior management strategies, classroom acmodations, and positive behavior support plans
Educational Requirements:
- Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
Certifications:
- Certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in Idaho
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working as a School Psychologist in a school or educational setting
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills, with proficiency in administering and interpreting standardized tests and assessment tools
- Excellent munication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
