Job Title: Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)

Location: Rocky Face, GA

Job Description: Soliant is currently seeking a passionate Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join a school district in Rocky Face, GA. The TVI will provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments to help them achieve their academic and developmental goals.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to determine students' visual needs and develop appropriate educational plans
• Provide direct instruction in braille, adaptive technology, and other skills to promote independence and academic success
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and parents to implement acmodations and modifications as needed
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies to meet individual learning needs
• Advocate for students' rights and access to educational resources
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and services provided

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education for the Visually Impaired or related field
• Valid Georgia teaching license with Visual Impairment endorsement
• Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Experience working with students with visual impairments preferred
• Knowledge of braille and assistive technology tools and strategies
• Strong munication and collaboration skills

Licensure Requirements:

• Valid Georgia teaching license with Visual Impairment endorsement required
• Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) required
