Job Description
Robert Half has a bookkeeper role available in the Retail industry on a permanent basis. If you thrive under tight deadlines with minimal supervision and consider yourself self-driven and organized accounting professional, this Bookkeeper position could be a great match for your skills. Administering bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, and accounts payable will be the Bookkeepers obligations. In addition, the Bookkeeper will perform data entry, perform cash applications, and full cycle A/P including some coding as well as light journal entries or general ledger reconciliation. What you get to do every day
- Assemble subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement
- Maintain Accounts Receivable
- Conduct monthly accounting close
- Update general ledger
- Supplementary assignments when necessary
- Draw up cash flow projections, as needed
- Aid with monthly accounting close
- Knowledgeable in credit card management and reconciliation
- Maintain Accounts Payable
- Prepare monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents
- Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment- Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills
- 2+ years of related experience- Highly organized and self-motivated
- Significant accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
- Strong familiarity with bank reconciliations
- Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Foundational knowledge in Dealer Track
- Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
- Great attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills
- Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
