Job Title: Polisher/Buffer
Location: Huntington Beach, CA
Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:15 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Essential Duties:
- Operate polishing lathe machines to correct defects, smooth, satin, and prepare metal surfaces.
- Set up and use polishing equipment, coating buffing wheels with compound sticks.
- Buff and polish parts against the wheel until smooth, satin, and free of defects or plating effects.
- Maintain buffing materials and equipment, including buffers, finishing wheels, and machines.
- Adhere to production guidelines and quality standards, recognizing variations in product lines.
- Conduct visual examinations of finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications.
Required Skills:
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills, communicating discrepancies to team leaders.
- Strict adherence to safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, dependability, and persistence.
- Urgency and efficiency in tasks, with a positive, "can-do" attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Good judgment and discretion.
- Ability to meet or exceed attendance and punctuality standards.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
- Minimum six (6) months of experience in a related field.
