The Supply Chain Director directs all aspects of the supply chain operations, including purchasing, inventory, selection of vendors, and distribution of finished goods to all facilities. Develops and implements a strategy to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. Negotiates with vendors to obtain optimal contracts and pricing. Utilizing data monitoring and analytics to evaluate past performance and trends and forecast inventory and distribution requirements. This position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional

leadership skills and a deep understanding of logistics, transportation, warehousing, and inventory management. The Director will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive cost-effective solutions, enhance efficiency, and uphold the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

· Strategic Planning: Develop and execute the logistics and supply chain strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives.

· Team Leadership: Manage a high-performing logistics team, providing guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

· Operational Excellence: Streamline and optimize all logistics and supply chain processes, including

transportation, warehousing, distribution, and inventory management.

· Vendor and Supplier Management: Collaborate with key vendors and suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, ensure on-time deliveries, and maintain strong relationships.

· Cost Management: Monitor and control logistics-related costs to maximize profitability while maintaining service quality.

· Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including safety, environmental, and

import/export requirements.

· Performance Metrics: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics operations. Regularly report on these metrics to senior management.

· Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks within the logistics and supply chain, developing contingency plans to address disruptions.

· Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement, implementing best practices, and staying current with industry trends and technologies.

· Customer Satisfaction: Collaborate with the customer service team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment, promoting high levels of customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Direct all aspects of the Supply Chain and daily operations for all facilities.

· Execute the strategic vision for the organizations supply chain and Purchasing functions.

· Identify, implement, and direct best in class logistics and distribution Systems.

· Direct, report and manage reduction in expired product, inventory shrink and obsolescence while increasing inventory turns.

· Provide ongoing support to engage suppliers by leading the selection and bidding processes across all spend categories.

· Review and approve a comprehensive list of suppliers or items for bid Process developed by analyzing company trends, industry trends, and strategic competitive positioning.

· Manage buyer’s activities including RFQ’s, inventory levels (safety stocks), On-time deliveries, cost reduction projects, expediting supplier.

· Relationship management and MRP system maintenance.

· Direct purchasing to reduce cost, minimize PPV, identify new suppliers, and continuously improve and increase supply base as needed.

· Continue to gain value from the ERP system to increase efficiency and operational excellence across various disciplines.

· Assure all food safety practices are followed within the Supply Chain and the organization. · Review, establish and implement new updated operating procedures.

· Collaborate with Sales, R & D and Manufacturing groups.

· Effective and economical reaction to support customer needs and new Initiatives.

· Evaluate the strategic value of importing raw materials and present a plan for review on items with a significant financial or strategic impact.

· Participate in development and maintenance of metrics to measure departmental and supplier performance.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/ or EXPERIENCE

· 10+ years inventory management / procurement experience

· Senior level management experience

· Manufacturing experience with digestible products

· Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or supply chain operations

· MBA preferred.

· Knowledge of FDA, USDA, and OSHA regulations.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

· ERP/MRP experience

· Microsoft

· APICS training or certification

REQUIRED DECISION MAKING AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

· Assist team in development of individual goals and monitor performance. Ensure the goals are aligned with business strategy.

· Manage and continuously improve supply chain KPI’s - order fulfillment, inventory value and logistic costs.

· Maintain and develop optimum supply chain model for the operation by directing demand planning, purchasing, production control, inventory management and fulfillment.

· Strive to continuously find ways to reduce costs and improve quality.
