Position Summary: The Senior Manager of Advancement will be responsible for supporting GSACPC’s philanthropic giving strategy. They will work closely with the Senior Director of Advancement to oversee the current portfolio of individual, institutional, and planned giving donors, build a pipeline of prospective donors, and ultimately solicit gifts in support of the organization’s mission. Focused on acquisition, cultivation, stewardship, and long-term retention of donors, they will help grow and nurture the organization’s philanthropic revenue stream with the support of the Fund Development team.

Reports to: Senior Director of Advancement

FLSA Status: Regular, Full time, Exempt

Essential Job Functions:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Advancement and the Fund Development team further GSACPC’s philanthropic goals and objectives with focus on both individual and institutional giving strategy
  • Ensure proper solicitation and recognition of donors
  • Support growth of the individual and institutional giving revenue streams through successful pipeline management
  • Execute large-scale individual giving appeals/campaigns with a focus on developing comprehensive strategies to successfully hit appeal goal
  • Oversee donor giving circles and develop unique engagement opportunities that connect donors to the organization’s mission
  • Conduct stewardship activities including holding meetings and preparing presentations to establish and deepen relationships with current and prospective donors and corporate contacts
  • Support of both small events and large-scale annual events
  • Conduct donor research/prospecting
  • Contribute content to newsletters, annual reports, and other stewardship materials
  • Serve as an ambassador of the organization with funders and outside partners
  • Support additional development projects or other related duties and activities as requested

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work/volunteer experience
  • 3-5 years of fundraising and development experience, preferably with individual, foundation, and corporate giving
  • Demonstrated success in cultivating and sustaining partnerships and relationships among diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift 30 pounds

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Has experience with managing a development or sales pipeline geared towards maintaining long-term relationships
  • Experience increasing philanthropic revenue through donor acquisition, stewardship, and retention with a history of closing gifts in excess of $5,000
  • Familiarity with fundraising software and/or other database(s)
  • Experience managing complex projects with specific target
