STEM Enrichment Program Lead Instructor

Lead Instructor Salary: $25 - $30 per hour

Lead Instructor Hours: Monday-Thursday 2:00-3:45 PM, or 3:00-4:45 PM depending on school. Readington Township School District and/or Flemington-Raritan School District. (Part Time)

Lead Instructor Responsibilities:

• Implements lesson plans provided by the director in order to spark a child's learning through a variety of unique mediums, including robotics, technical reading, and the extraordinary world of Minecraft
• Bring an enthusiastic approach to each class. Use energy to motivate the children in the class.
• Leads energizing, fun, safe, and educational classes that accomplish the YMCA mission and goals
• Ensures classes are executed to meet the needs of all ages, levels and abilities of children
• Be able to travel to different sites and help transport supplies/equipment
• Adjust plans as needed to accommodate every member of the class
• Maintain knowledge of emergency and safety procedures; provide care in an emergency, document all incidents and accidents and report to your supervisor
• Attend training, organizational and staff meetings as requested by your supervisor
• Follows YMCA Human Resources & Risk Management policies and procedures of the institution
• All other duties as assigned

Lead Instructor Qualifications:

• Applicants must possess a minimum of a 4 year degree or are working towards a degree/certification.
• Minimum of 2 years prior experience working with children.
• Prior or current experience in education, recreation, child psychology or related fields.
• Ages 21 and older preferred
• Bilingual/Spanish preferred but not necessary.
