Lube Technician

The Lube Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance on vehicles and will ensure that vehicles receive efficient and high-quality service to keep them running smoothly and prevent potential issues.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Perform oil changes on vehicles, including draining old oil, replacing oil filters, and refilling with appropriate oil types and quantities.
• Replace air filters, fuel filters, and other filters as needed to maintain engine performance and air quality inside the vehicle.
• Check fluid levels, including coolant, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, brake fluid, and windshield washer fluid, and top off as necessary.
• Rotate tires following recommended rotation patterns and torque specifications.
• Conduct visual inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues or areas of concern, such as leaks, worn belts, hoses, or brakes, and report findings to field support manager.
• Document services performed, including mileage, fluid levels, and any additional recommendations or observations, accurately and legibly on service records.
• Assist with other basic maintenance tasks, such as replacing wiper blades, light bulbs, and belts, as well as lubricating chassis components.
• Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including cleaning service bays, disposing of waste fluids and materials properly, and following safety protocols.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a team environment.
• Competent, responsible, and organized.
• Willingness to work outdoors and in various weather conditions.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in automotive maintenance or related field.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
