SF-139 Structural Steel Estimator / Hampton, FL (Fabrication and Erection)

Hello All,

We are currently seeking an experienced Structural Steel Estimator to join our team at a leading structural steel fabrication company based in Florida. As a Structural Steel Estimator, you will play a crucial role in pursuing project opportunities and ensuring accurate estimations aligning with our company's core values of Service, Respect, Honesty & Integrity, Excellence, and Taking Ownership.

Salary: 100k - 120k

Responsibilities:

• Directly communicate with general contractors, owners, and architects.
• Interpret and analyze design drawings to determine project requirements.
• Identify material, equipment needs, and costs based on project specifications.
• Assess miscellaneous material requirements for railings & stairs.
• Coordinate with vendors and distributors to obtain accurate estimates for materials & supplies.
• Conduct material takeoffs, pricing, and prepare bid presentations for General Contractors utilizing steel estimating spreadsheets and estimating management software.
• Follow up on submitted bids and maintain communication with customers.

Basic Qualifications:

• Proficiency in reading and understanding construction plans and drawings related to structural steel.
• Experience with PDF software such as Bluebeam or Acrobat.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Preferred knowledge of Tekla PowerFab; experience with Excel spreadsheets required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Familiarity with estimodeling is advantageous.
• Solid math and geometry skills.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in estimating steel fabrication and erection.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and create tentative project schedules.
• Demonstrates a positive and professional attitude.
