Position Title: Diaper Bank Program Assistant
Classification: Part-Time / Non-Exempt (12-15 hours per week)
Status: Hourly
Range: $12.50 - $15.25 per hour
Date: April 1, 2024


Summary/Objective:
This position is responsible for the planning, organization, and implementation of client intake,
eligibility, reporting, supply ordering, and partner relationships for the organization's Diaper Bank
Programs. The position provides support to the Program Leadership while practicing all relevant quality
procedures, data entry, and providing high-quality client and stakeholder services.
Specific program focus (to include but not be limited to): Diaper Bank and TEFAP. The position provides
high-level administrative support to the program in preparing reports, handling information and referral
requests, database entry, and performing clerical functions, program correspondence, database
management, and client communications.


Essential Functions:
• Distribute Diaper Bank Supplies to clients according to qualifications.
• Maintain Client and Partner files.
• Order Diaper Supplies for Partner Sites and Community Action of Allegan County.
• Enter client information in the appropriate reporting software.
• Maintain Partner site supplies count.
• Transport Supplies as needed.
• Have a sound understanding of CAAC programs and community services available and to readily
distribute resources to individuals in need in person or over the phone.
• Data Entry into multiple platforms.
• Always maintains confidentiality regarding job-related information about children, families, and
staff members.
• Be courteous, respectful, and professional to clients and staff.
• Greet clients and visitors and direct them to the proper department/person or external agency.
• Respects and promotes the unique identity of each client, and refrains from stereotyping based
on gender, race, ethnicity, culture, religion, or disability.
• Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and/or Executive Director.


Competencies:
• Demonstrates excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient communications; oral and written.
• Accuracy in all aspects of programs, reporting and data entry.
• Knowledge of relevant software (MS Office Suite 365, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, database
management)
• Excellent time management.
• Knowledge and understanding of issues related to individuals and families in poverty.
• Ability to maintain client and organization confidentiality.


Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment, in off-site venues and outside event areas. Role
routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and
fax machines.


Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to
perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the
employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk;
use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift
and/or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a part-time/full year 20 hours per week. The days and hours of operation of CAAC are Monday
through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (exact schedule to be determined). Evening and weekend work may be
required as job duties demand.


Travel:
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel
may be expected.
Required Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED required. Five-plus years of successful work or volunteer experience in the
non-profit sector preferred.
