POSITION: SUPERINTENDENT

We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Superintendent to join our Operations Department.

As a Superintendent at COMANCO, you will play a crucial role in managing construction projects, ensuring safety compliance, and driving operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is someone who is dedicated to upholding our company values and is willing to go above and beyond to contribute to the success of our projects.

JOB FOCUS:

  • Travel to construction sites as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and drug-free worksite, promoting a 'No Lost Time Accidents' culture.
  • Conduct daily Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and toolbox talks to ensure a proactive approach to safety.
  • Schedule labor, equipment, and tools efficiently, reducing operating costs and adhering to project timelines.
  • Oversee the proper receipt, storage, and coding of project materials, ensuring availability when needed.
  • Supervise and monitor daily production, striving to beat project budgets.
  • Understand project contracts, specifications, and scope of work to recognize and manage Change Orders.
  • Investigate vehicle and equipment accidents, personal injuries, and general liability incidents.
  • Ensure Quality Control compliance, keeping detailed documentation of installation processes and testing.
  • Provide training opportunities for subordinates, focusing on continuous improvement and cross-training.
  • Schedule and oversee equipment maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Use technology and software for accurate and timely completion of all required documentation.
  • Interface positively with customers, earning their trust and delivering a safe and reliable product.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Five or more years of experience in the construction trade in a supervisory role.
