PURPOSE:
The primary purpose of this position is to assist Silver State Schools Credit Union to live out its Mission, "Excellent Member Service and Financial Solutions - For Life," by providing outstanding service to both members and internal members.

SUMMARY:
The Social Media Coordinator will perform a variety of marketing functions to support the efforts of the department and organization by collaborating with key stakeholders and compliance teams to develop clear and concise messaging that engages our members and prospective members.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following are essential functions of this position but are subject to change based on operating necessity.

  • Plans, organizes, and produces engaging photo and video story telling content to promote Credit Union products, services, benefits, and events.
  • Monitor social media presence and day-to-day activities among social media profiles, respond to inquiries and comments, and follow up with key stakeholders when applicable.
  • Attend events and produce live social media content.
  • Research and stay current with social media trends and tools.
  • Measures and reports on account performance.
  • Be familiar with current search engine optimized and conversion-optimized keywords for social media.
  • Stay current on financial industry trends for local peers and competitors.
  • Ability to multitask and meet established deadlines.
  • Utilize SSSCU's content marketing strategy, brand guidelines, style guide, and content typology.
  • Be familiar with credit union compliance rules as it impacts social media, printing, publications, and direct mail. (FCRA, Reg DD, Reg C, Reg B, and Reg Z, etc).
  • Assist the Marketing Department as needed for events, functions, and jobs as assigned to support and ensure the success of the department and, subsequently, the Credit Union.
  • Perform other functions as assigned.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications and/or related work experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1+ years of related experience (can be an internship)
  • Understanding of social media keyword research, Search Engine Optimization
    (SEO)

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Nevada Driver's License or reliable mode of transportation.
