We are looking for a motivated, self-starter to join our Cache County Fairgrounds team as a Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Worker. The Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Worker will primarily focus on grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing, weeding, watering, weed trimming, and maintaining sprinkler systems and irrigation clocks. This position will also play a key role in event set-up and support for the many events held at the fairgrounds.

Job occurs mainly during weekdays, but some evenings and weekends may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will be assisting in the maintenance of all facilities that could include painting, plumbing, waxing, lighting repairs, HVAC, masonry, carpentry, etc. as well as landscaping operations. The Grounds Maintenance Worker will also ensure timely maintenance, preparation, and grooming of facilities for various events; maintain the facility sound system and equipment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will have graduated from High School or have a GED, have specialized training related to maintenance and construction fields, facilities management or construction management, and have at least one year of progressively responsible experience in building construction or building maintenance. The candidate will also have a valid Driver's License, have no more than 2 moving violations within the past 24 months and no DUI/ARR within the past 5 years, and be available for occasional 24-hour emergency call out. A valid Commercial Driver's License is preferred.
