STEM Enrichment Program Assistant Instructor

YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties is looking to hire a STEM Enrichment Program Assistant Instructor!

Assistant Instructor Salary: $20 - $25 per hour

Assistant Instructor Hours: Monday-Thursday 2:00-3:45 PM, or 3:00-4:45 PM depending on school. Readington Township School District and/or Flemington-Raritan School District. (Part Time)

Assistant Instructor Responsibilities:

• Assists Lead Instructor in providing energizing, fun, safe, and educational classes that accomplish the YMCA mission and goals
• Spark a child's learning through a variety of unique mediums, includingrobotics, technical reading, and the extraordinary world of Minecraft.
• Bring an enthusiastic approach to each class. Use energy to motivate the children in the class
• Helps ensure classes are executed to meet the needs of all ages, levels and abilities of children
• Be able to travel to different sites and help transport supplies/equipment
• Be prepared to teach each class. Help plan activities and be able to adjust them to every member of the class
• Maintain knowledge of emergency and safety procedures; provide care in an emergency, document all incidents and accidents and report to your supervisor
• Attend training, organizational and staff meetings as requested by your supervisor
• Follows YMCA Human Resources & Risk Management policies and procedures of the institution
• All other duties as assigned

Assistant Instructor Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years prior experience working with children.
• Bilingual/Spanish preferred but not necessary.
