The Controller &  HR Manager is responsible for the overall success and management of our office staff and our financial activities including budgets, payroll and HR data. We provide lawn weed control and fertilizer applications along with pest, mosquito and termite control to residential, commercial and municipal customers.


We are looking for an experienced manager to organize and coordinate administration duties and office procedures. Your role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication and safety. Duties and responsibilities include accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and human resources, making office supplies arrangements, leading office staff and providing general administrative support to our employees. Previous experience as a Front office manager, office administrator or accounting is a must.  Ultimately, this position ensures the smooth running of the office and helps improve company procedures and day-to-day operation.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with operations manager to update and maintain policies as necessary
  • Ensure that all items are invoiced and paid on time
  • Manage budget along with operations manager to ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Assist in the onboarding process for new hires
  • Prepare bi-weekly payroll data(hours, commissions, PTO) for outsourced 
  • Plan in-house or off-site activities, like parties, celebrations and staff meetings

Skills

  • Proven experience as an Office manager or in an accounting position
  • Proficiency in MS Office 
  • Proficiency in Quickbooks Online
  • Familiarity with CRM software
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
  • A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
  • High School degree; Bachelors Degree preferred
