What you will do:

• Set up and calibrate directional drilling equipment, including locating devices, guidance systems, and survey tools.
• Implement measures to minimize environmental impact during drilling
• Identify and address any challenges or obstacles encountered during drilling
• Develop drilling plans and provide input on the selection of appropriate drilling
• Transporting equipment and materials to and from various job sites.
• Collaboration and teamwork are essential expectations for this
• This position will involve hands-on work and physically demanding excavating

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Directional Drill Locator
• Travel is required. You will be compensated with per diem and any overnight stays.
• Working OT is required. You will also need to be available for emergency calls as well.
• In-depth knowledge of directional drilling techniques, equipment
• Familiarity with survey tools, guidance systems, and tracking
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental considerations related to drilling activities.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather
• Relevant certifications in directional drilling and equipment operation
• Telecommunications industry experience
• Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
