Absolute Staffing is searching for a Senior IT Specialist to work with our client.
Employment Type: Full Time
Experience: 60 - 84 months (5-7 years)
Location: Binghamton, NY 13904
Engagement Length: 30 months
Daily Hours: Monday - Friday (8:30am - 5pm)
Telecommuting: Option available, subject to supervisor approval based on travel requirements.
Description:
We are seeking a Senior IT Specialist to join our team in Binghamton, NY. The ideal candidate will possess 5-7 years of experience in Information Technology, capable of working independently and providing guidance to others. An advanced education may be preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance and assessment to designated NYS OMH facilities.
- Perform site consultations, focusing on circuit bandwidth, VoIP phone system upgrades, and wireless upgrades.
- Install, relocate, and remove equipment including VoIP phones, WAPS, and data communications equipment.
- Participate in all project phases such as request analysis, site surveys, site preparation, cable troubleshooting and installation, asset management, inventory control, and network assistance.
Software Skills:

Hardware Skills:
- Cisco and Aruba routers and switches
- Meraki Wireless Access Points

Training:
- Attend all New York State/GOER and ITS Agency mandated training programs, including but not limited to Internal Controls, Prevention of Workplace Violence, Sexual Harassment Prevention, and Information Security.
Travel Requirement:
- Yes, 3 out of 5 days throughout the Binghamton-Syracuse area.
Security Requirements:
- Mandatory ITS Security Agreements
