Role Summary: The Senior HR Generalist will play a crucial role in managing our day-to-day HR operations and providing strategic leadership to the HR team. This position calls for a hands-on, experienced professional capable of navigating the complexities of HR management within the banking sector. The ideal candidate will be adept at handling a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process, ensuring we attract, hire, and retain top talent.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
- Nurture a positive working environment by developing a suite of employee-focused programs.
- Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
- Oversee and manage the work of HR personnel and provide guidance.
Qualifications:
- Proven working experience as an HR Generalist or HR Manager, preferably in the banking sector.
- Broad knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development, etc.).
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or relevant field; Master's degree a plus.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
