Construction Lineman - Home weekends - Weekly Per Diem - Paid Weekly

Techline Construction is seeking a Lineman in Austin, Texas and the surrounding area for Power Utility work.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform lineman work on new construction, maintenance projects, or repair work on new, old and pre-existing power lines
• Remove, install, and wire transformers
• Work on energized/de-energized and high voltage systems in the field
• Set poles
• Troubleshoot as needed

Power Distribution systems involved in running/stringing/hanging power lines either overhead/underground systems.

Skills and abilities:

• Able to adapt to seasonal temperature changes and inclement weather.
• Able to meet physical requirements. Actions include but are not limited to, standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, climbing ladders, cutting wire, lifting and maneuvering 90 pounds, and more.

Requirements:

• Must have at least five years lineman experience
• Must have a valid Class A CDL within 3 months of employment
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug test
• Adhere to company safety and health policies - will receive safety training
