Job Summary: As a construction laborer, you will be responsible for assisting in all phases of construction projects. Your duties will include performing manual labor tasks such as loading and unloading materials, digging trenches, operating hand and power tools, and cleaning up job sites. You will work under the direction of skilled tradespeople and supervisors to ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.

Salary: $19 Per Hour
Location: Big Sky, Montana
Hours: 7am to 5pm ... Note: this MAY change

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy materials, digging trenches, and operating hand tools.
  2. Assist skilled tradespeople, such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, as needed.
  3. Load and unload construction materials from trucks and delivery vehicles.
  4. Erect and dismantle scaffolding, shoring, and other temporary structures.
  5. Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and hazardous materials.
  6. Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  7. Operate construction equipment, such as forklifts and compactors, under supervision.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  9. Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors to ensure tasks are completed according to schedule and specifications.
  10. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to quality control and workplace safety.
Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Previous experience in construction or a related field preferred but not required.
  3. Ability to perform physical tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
  4. Basic knowledge of construction techniques, tools, and materials.
  5. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
  6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  7. Ability to follow instructions and work independently when necessary.
  8. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.
