Title: Speech Language Pathologist

Role and Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality direct speech-language therapy services to a diverse range of students in both classroom and therapy room settings. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting standard and non-standardized assessments to determine strengths and concerns in various areas of speech and language
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans that are child and family centered
  • Ensuring adherence to district, state, and federal guidelines in IEP, ETR, and progress monitoring procedures
  • Collecting and analyzing ongoing data to adapt treatment strategies based on student performance trends
  • Attending IEP and MFE meetings and providing necessary documentation in a timely manner
  • Collaborating with classroom teachers and other educational team members
  • Aligning treatment objectives with Common Core Standards
  • Guiding teachers and primary care providers in implementing classroom strategies
  • Managing a caseload across multiple buildings in the district
  • Conducting hearing screenings and making appropriate referrals based on results
  • Participating in staff meetings and pursuing professional development
  • Facilitating effective communication abilities in students across all language levels
  • Supporting students and teachers through building-based intervention processes
  • Utilizing district software for special education compliance and accountability reporting

Candidate Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must have the following qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Speech & Language Pathology from an accredited university
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association preferred
  • Valid Pennsylvania Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology Speech Language Pathology License or Conditional License
  • Valid Pennsylvania Department of Education License
