Bob Neuenschwander worked for Avis Rent a Car in Columbia Missouri before opening his first store in Springfield as an Agency Operator. He began with a fleet of 12 vehicles and two years later signed a franchise agreement to become an Avis Licensee. We are looking for a dynamic career-oriented individual to join our team as a Lot Porter! As a Lot Porter, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our rental vehicles and Budget trucks are parked in the right spots, shuttle them to and from different locations, assess and report any new damages to vehicles, and provide exceptional customer service to customers returning their rental cars on occasion. What Are the Position Requirements?

• Experience with moving vehicles - cargo vans, 12', 16', and 26' box trucks.
• Experience hitching and unhitching trailers, car and tow dollies, car carriers (12') and car trailers.
• High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
• A valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Ability to drive different sized cars consistently and safely in our lot.
• Ability to back cars into parking spots.
• Willingness to work in the outdoor weather and get in/out of cars consistently (all cars have available heat and AC for employee use).
• Someone who is punctual and gives appropriate notice when requesting time off.

What Will I Do?

• Assess rental vehicles inside and outside for any potential damage from customers and document it.
• Ensure that the rental cars and Budget trucks are parked in the right spots are in good operational condition when customers return them as well as shuttle them to and from different locations.
• Shuttle cars from ready/return spots, staging lot, service area, and other locations across town.
