Job Summary
Could you be the next Bill (or Jill) Nye?!
Mad Science is currently looking for part time, high-energy science show and party performers who love working with groups of elementary age kids. This is a great part time job if you enjoy performing in front of groups of people and working with kids! Event performer programs can be for small groups of children or large stage shows, and take place at homes, schools, community centers, daycares, scout meetings/events, Summer camps, libraries and other small and large-scale venues. Weekend work is common for parties.
Candidates must have experience working with groups of elementary school age kids, a fun outgoing personality, a dependable car, and enjoy performing. After completing the paid training sessions, performers earn: $60-90 or more per 1 hour program (about two hours on site) plus mileage reimbursement.
Schedule: Weekends for parties and some events, weekdays for other events
Education: 1 year college preferred
Experience: Working with children: 1 year (Required), some performance or theater background, experience an asset, experience doing fun science demonstrations or other similar shows of this type a plus.
License/Certification: Driver's License and access to your own vehicle (Required.)
Work Location: Multiple Locations throughout Northern CT and Western/Central MA.

We train you in the programs and provide all materials. . Mad Science events happen year round and we also conduct after-school programs and events during the school year. This is part-time and rewarding work if it fits with your schedule and lifestyle.
