Position Details:
BH Clinical Supervisor, Full-time, Monday-Friday, Day Shift. Must be able to work a flexible schedule and call is required
Salaried, Exempt, Non-Union

Position Summary:

The BH Clinical Supervisor provides clinical oversight, education, and individual and group supervision of MH clinicians by providing direct, day-to-day supervision and performance monitoring MH staff. The BH Clinical Supervisor reviews treatment plans and progress notes to ensure clinical services are appropriate to the client's level of care needs and are appropriate for their diagnosis. Conducts annual performance appraisals and monitors productivity. Ensure that proper policies and procedures that protect the health, safety and confidentiality of MH clients are developed and implemented. Provide and document at least two hours of supervision for each staff member each month, one of which must be individual face-to-face supervision. Provide additional supervision as needed to address staff deficiencies.

Requirements

Education:

Must meet QMHP qualifications. Must have at least one of the following: A graduate degree in psychology, OR a bachelor's degree in nursing and licensed by the State of Oregon OR a graduate degree in social work OR a graduate degree in a behavioral science field OR a graduate degree in recreational, art, or music therapy OR a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy and licensed by the State of Oregon.

Licensure/certification:

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) required. Thirty (30) hours of supervisor training preferred or able to obtain such training within 60 days of hire. Valid Oregon Driver's License with a clean driving record for the past three years. Must maintain a clean driving record. Must pass all criminal history check requirements as required by ORS 443.004. Must have or obtain CPR/BLS certification.

Experience:

Two (2) years of post-graduate clinical experience in a mental health treatment setting. Six (6) months experience as a clinical supervisor preferred. Experience in differential diagnosis, treatment plan design and implementation with children and adults. Experience and understanding of rural/frontier service delivery and community issues. Significant understanding of best practices in the delivery of community-based mental health services within both public and private managed care reimbursement systems. Experience working with courts, law enforcement, schools, and a variety of community stakeholders. Cerner or other eHR systems experience required. Microsoft Office Suite experience required.

Job Knowledge:

Must be able to provide treatment services that are culturally responsive and delivered within the philosophy of trauma informed care. Demonstrate the ability to identify precipitating events, gather histories of mental and physical disabilities, assess for alcohol and drug use, obtain past mental health services history and criminal justice involvement. Able to conduct a mental status examination, document DSM diagnosis with criteria, write and supervise a treatment plan, conduct a Comprehensive Mental Health Assessment, and provide individual, family, and/or group therapy within the scope of practice.

Skills: Must work with people in a tactful, diplomatic and professional manner. Must be able to remain pleasant and patient, and have good communication skills. Computer proficiency required. Additionally, must have the skills to write case notes and business correspondence. Must have the ability to demonstrate effective time management skills while working independently with minimal supervision.

Supervisory Responsibility:

Responsible for review and signing off on charting and documentation.

Travel:

Travel is required in our service area using company vehicle. Occasional travel may be required for CEU training and certifications in and outside of Lake County. May also be required to provide client transportation on occasion.
