Salary: $27.30-$33.60 per hour (DOE) / Additional Differentials Must Qualify

Crisis Worker: Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist I, II, III, IV or V 

Full-Time/3/4-Time/Part-Time/On-Call Positions Available/Non-Exempt/$27.30-$33.60 per hour (DOE)


Pay differentials offered - must qualify through testing or verification for the following special competencies.

*Language Translation - Bi-cultural Spanish ($1.00 per hour)

*Bimodal Bilingualism - ASL Sign Language - Interpret from American Sign Language (ASL) to English, and English to ASL. ($1.00 per hour)

*Crisis – 5150 Certified ($2.00)

 

Provides urgent crisis de-escalation, assessment, and linkage services to Mendocino County consumers during a crisis intervention. Works under the direction of the Program Manager to provide short-term, strengths based, safety focused intervention that is individualized to client current need. Services will be aimed at stabilization and linkage. Ability to provide in-the-moment coaching, problem-solving, coping, skill development, safety planning, and crisis intervention.  Immediate response to emergency referrals.


Must meet the following Education and Experience.


Education/Experience:

Classifications and Qualifications for MHRS 

  • MHRS I: Associate's Degree & 6 years experience in a mental health-related field.
  • MHRS II: Bachelor's Degree & 4 years experience in a mental health-related field.  
  • MHRS III: Master's Degree & 2 years experience in a mental health-related field.
  • MHRS IV & V: Meets requirements of MHRS I,II, or III. Including additional requirements and experience outlined in the scope of work. *Job Description will be provided.   

Rehabilitation Specialist IV - Meets requirements of Rehabilitation Specialist I, II, or III & consistently meets expected productivity percentage. Has a thorough understanding of clients with a multitude of challenging behaviors, & how-to best support/help them. Consistently gets documentation done within 24 hours.


Rehabilitation Specialist V - Meets requirements of Rehabilitation Specialist I,II, or III & IV, & serves as a seasoned staff to others within their program area: Willing to mentor, coach, &/or advise others in MHRS job roles; Is willing & able to take place of supervisor/manager when absent; Is a consistent model of professionalism, & exemplary Rehabilitation practices in client care.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CA Driver's License, Current Auto Insurance, Clean DMV Printout (No more than 3 points on your driving record). Subsequent background check required should you be chosen as a candidate for this position. CPR and First Aid Certified. TB Test and Physical at the time of employment. Must be able to provide written verification of experience upon hire. Bilingual preferred, not required.   

 

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position may work within ALL other agency programs, consistent with their scope of practice, on a as needed basis. In addition, may require occasional flexible work schedule to meet the individualized needs of each client and program.
