Austin Country Club, a beacon of culinary excellence in the heart of Austin, TX, invites seasoned culinary professionals to join our esteemed team as a full-time Experienced Chef Tournant. In this role, you will be part of a legacy defined by luxury, creativity, and uncompromising standards.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

Competitive compensation of $22 - $24 per hour is offered to our amazing kitchen team as well as generous benefits and an exciting work environment.

All that you need is:

• Experience as a Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, or similar role in a high-volume kitchen environment
• Strong culinary skills and a solid understanding of various cooking techniques
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to upholding food safety and sanitation standards

A culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred but not required.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT AS OUR EXPERIENCED CHEF TOURNANT?

As an Experienced Chef Tournant, a commitment to flexibility is paramount. Anticipate a schedule encompassing various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Your day commences with precision in executing culinary duties, ensuring adherence to established standards and recipes. Meticulous quality control is a daily pursuit, where you uphold the highest standards in food quality, presentation, and taste. You collaborate seamlessly with the culinary team to coordinate production schedules, expedite orders, and ensure the timely delivery of impeccable service during peak hours. Beyond the kitchen, contribute significantly to training and developing kitchen staff, sharing expertise on techniques, knife skills, and best practices. Additionally, you engage in menu development by suggesting innovative dishes, ingredients, and cooking methods in close collaboration with the Executive Chef. You also assist in managing inventory levels, minimizing waste, and enhancing overall operational efficiency.

As a private, family-oriented club that is rich in tradition, we are known for the quality of our membership and unmatched customer service that exceeds expectations. We are located along the banks of the Colorado River with Austin's iconic Pennybacker Bridge as our backdrop. Spanning over 180 acres of hill country vistas and canyon views in Davenport Ranch, our property is just 10 miles west of downtown Austin.
