Inventory Control Analyst II


Location:

Columbus Warehouse- Columbus, MT (Hybrid Remote)

Schedule:

5x2, 4x3 - 9-hour days


Job Responsibilities and Duties:

At Sibanye-Stillwater, the Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for analyzing and coordinating the ongoing logistical functions. They are responsible for the entire life cycle of products, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and final disposal of resources. The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for identifying and analyzing discrepancies, developing and improving inventory control systems, maintaining detailed records of transactions, and verifying inventory counts from company warehouses and stockrooms.


The Inventory Control Analyst's primary responsibilities are:

Operational Leadership:

  • Foster an inclusive environment for all employees that promotes teamwork and innovation, and actively seeks feedback from the workforce for continuous improvements

Safety and Environmental Compliance:

  • Ensures compliance with all related laws and regulations
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment, safe work practices, and a strong safety culture

Budget and Cost Control:

  • Collects, organizes and presents data to inform management's decision making process

Technical Oversight:

  • Controls inventory of finished goods needed to fulfill and scheduled distribution plans
  • Analyzes, evaluates, and communicates supplier performance
  • Coordinates with managers to maintain inventory levels
  • Maintains and updates inventory system
  • Analyzes inventory discrepancies and communicates those issues to procurement specialists and leads
  • Analyzes inventory levels, production speed, product demand, and shipment schedules that determine reorder levels and ensure product availability and minimize inventory costs

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Monitors and updates master schedule to reflect inventory turnover, stocking decisions, forecasting, and administrative controls
  • Creates and reviews reports to identify trends or issues and to support or initiate actions or adjustments
  • Participates in required auditing processes
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven negotiation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of business processes
  • Strong self-motivation and able to work independently within a team environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Education & Experience

  • Two years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain or business management
  • Exposure to warehousing or purchasing
