Finance Director

The City of Nacogdoches is in search of an individual to lead the Finance Department following the retirement of the former Director who served for 27 years. The department currently has five full-time staff members. The Director of Finance is a crucial part of the City's leadership team and oversees all aspects of the finance department, which includes purchasing. The Director is responsible for various tasks such as budget preparation and monitoring, financial reporting, investment of public funds, annual audits, purchasing, cash management, bank relations, accounts payable and receivable, debt management, and coordination of assigned activities with other City departments and outside agencies. Additionally, the Director provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to the City Manager.
